Fennel
Use bruised fennel seed in food or with caraway and anise seeds to overcome even the most obstinate attacks of gas. Make a hot tea by pouring two cups of boiling water over a teaspoon of bruised seeds.

Regular drinking of fennel tea is an old folk remedy used to regulate difficult and irregular menstrual periods. Use the tea before and during the period up to three times a day. Eat the seeds to increase milk while nursing.
To promote the freer flow of urine, combine fennel seeds, caraway seeds, and juniper berries.
Fennel has still another value in medicine: According to Sebastian Kneipp the tea made from bruised seeds will help detoxify the body. Use it strained in the bath or in a vaporizer to increase the release of toxic wastes.
