Menstruation Carrot Grate and dry carrots, and eat one piece at a time, several times a day, as a potent aid to regulate menstruation. Grate about a pound from the heaviest part of the carrot. Dry it on paper in the sun for a week or two until it shrivels up into small pieces.
Cayenne Pepper Add a few grains of the herb to any herbal tea of your choice. Cayenne has the power to regulate bleeding within and without the body, and may have some effect on the menstrual flow.
Cinnamon Bark Utilize a few drops of the diluted cinnamon bark tincture to help control a profuse flow.
Lemon juice Drink diluted lemon juice during the menstrual period. It not only serves to cleanse the entire system, but has an indirect effect on bleeding. Lemon juice can also be used as a styptic to stop external bleeding from cuts.

(Red) Raspberry Make a strong tea of red raspberry leaves to control an excessive flow. This herb is also an excellent female tonic during pregnancy.
Shepherd's Purse This is a great herb to stop hemorrhaging in any part of the body. Infuse a handful in a pint of boiling water. Drink the tea warm if possible. Use 2 cups three times a day (6 cups). Also douche with the same strength brew. Also
apply a shepherd's purse tea compress to the pelvic area during excessive flow.

Thyme Drink a half cup of strong thyme tea each morning and evening to control excessive menstrual flow. Apply a cold thyme tea compress to the pelvic area.
TO PROMOTE DELAYED MENSTRUATION
Angelico Drink angelica root tea several times a day. To prepare it, bruise 2 tablespoons of root, simmer it in 2 cups of
boiling water for fifteen minutes, and strain.
Balm Release the volatile oil of garden melissa plant by steeping 2 tablespoons of the whole plant in a cup of boiling water. Strain the tea and drink it hot several times a day.
Basil Fresh sweet basil is an old folk remedy for delayed menstruation. To prepare, use 1 tablespoon of basil to a cup of boiling water; steep, strain.
Beets Many nutritionists and herbalists consider the fresh, raw beet or beet juice or beet powder an invaluable aid in regulating all menstrual problems.
Dill Release the valuable oil in the seeds by bruising 1 teaspoon of them and steeping them in boiling water; strain this and drink the tea.
Elecampane Gently simmer the clean root 1 tablespoon to a pint of water. After ten minutes, withdraw the liquid from the heat and let it cool. Strain it and drink 1 to 2 tablespoons of it several times a day.
Fennel Frequently drink hot tea prepared from bruised fennel seeds simmered for five minutes in boiling water and strained.
Marigold The petals of the pot marigold (calendula) may be used in tablespoon doses. It has long been considered an aid in regulating monthly flow.
FOR PAINFUL PERIODS
Catnip Drink catnip tea each morning and evening during the period. Prepare this tea with leaf sprays and flowers, and use 1 teaspoon to a cup of boiling water.
Chamomile Chamomile tea will gently relieve menstrual spasms.
Peppemint Peppermint tea is a digestive aid and will ease the feeling of bloat and pain during the period.
Strawberry Tea of strawberry leaves taken over a long period of time will eventually regulate menstrual flow.
