Pills

Powdered herbs may be enclosed in gelatine capsules and swallowed with water. This is also useful when combining several herbs or when the taste or smell is too strong to drink in tea form.

To preserve pills, roll in powdered licorice root or lycopodium powder, and place in a perforated tin box. The lycopodium does not attract moisture. Add additional licorice powder if the pills are too soft.
