Eyebright
Use the whole herb to strengthen the eyes. It can be made into a tea or used as the ancient herbalists did, boiled in wine and sipped at bedtime. Sebastian Kneipp recommends an infusion of strained eyebright as an eye wash, or added to home apple cider, to sip, to strengthen the stomach. For simple inflammation of the eyes, use fifteen drops of the tincture in a 1/4 cup of rose water, and apply it as a compress. Replace the compress with a fresh one, and repeat this several times a day.
