Eat dried figs to overcome constipation. Use of the drawing power of figs for boils goes back to very ancient times, To ripen a boil, split a fig, heat it, and place on boil. This is particularly effective with boils on the gum.
Figs may be added to water to prepare an excellent gargle or sore throat aid. Use four tablespoons of figs to a cup of water, boil, strain, cool, and drink the liquid or use it as gargle.
