Nutmeg
I adore the aroma of this herb, and I grate a small amount into many drinks and desserts. My grandmother loved
nutmeg tea, and she would often make about a pint of weak tea to inspire sleep. A small amount of fresh grated nutmeg each day has internally warming properties and will help sluggish digestion, flatulence, and diarrhea. Do not use very concentrated or large doses of this aromatic herb, as large amounts of the tea will cause giddiness and intoxication and will produce too deep a sleep. I use fresh grated nutmeg in a wonderful tonic wine.
Steep nutmeg in leftover wine to make an excellent liniment. This is especially good for rheumatic complaints.
