Peppermint
This is a favorite beverage tea all over the world. It has a great many health uses. Peppermint has a strong effect on the digestive system and will help control diarrhea, spasms, and relieve indigestion. For this reason I always carry some peppermint tea and a vial of peppermint oil on my foreign travels.
Digestive Aid Chamomile and peppermint are used in most of the spas in Europe as a digestive aid and as a switch from the disastrous effects of caffeine in coffee. While I have used it on a more or less continuous basis for many years, and I know many strong and well people who use peppermint every day, I have come to the conclusion that herbal teas should be used by mood, need, and meal and that all such teas should be interchange for variety and effect. Since peppermint is so rich in tannin, vary your herbal beverages with other herbal blends.
Headache Aid A drink of peppermint tea is instantly refreshing and will dispel many headaches, especially those emanating from the digestive system.
